With our new program format the Aegean Center has renewed its commitment to quality education as we have since 1966. Our new curriculum will allow for a more diverse group of individuals to participate and join us here at the Center while offering possibilities for a continued in-depth European journey. One of the most important founding elements comprising the Center’s pedagogical philosophy is our program is small by design. Our new program carries on this essential principles.
We now offer 3 different intensives each running for 15 days in Figure Drawing, Oil Painting and Photography. In the Spring the programs begin in early May and run through early June. In the Autumn they start in late September and run through the end of October. Students may attend a course individually or two courses together in succession.
In the Spring Session you have the warmth of the approaching summer season, the beauty of a temperate Aegean Sea, lush landscapes full of wildflowers and promise, the gleaming white village of Parikia in concert with the Center’s beautiful creative learning environment. In the Autumn we experience the calm of transitioning seasons, the celebrated Greek light in its full brilliance and resplendence, cooling evenings bringing spectacular skies and sunsets that illuminate the archipelago as only autumnal light can do. In spring or fall there is always time after class for a swim, to explore and enjoy Paros and to simply relax.
The Center’s facilities are always available to the students. There are no curfews as studios and digital lab remain open for continued independent exploration into your work and art. Our workshop format is brimming and energetic as is the environment of Paros, the culture of Greece and the Aegean Center ethos. Attending the workshops you will discover we remain deeply committed teachers and mentors who will guide you through your chosen subject with great enthusiasm, dedication and commitment.

Option 1
A student will organize and arrange their own housing accommodation for the duration of the program..
Option 2

Photography
The Craft of Photography
This is a highly specialized program intended for the more experienced photographer who already has images and a body of work they would like to refine and print at a very high level. We will be printing with the digital process using special ink sets for both color and black & white as well as using the finest printing papers made. Details of this program will be shared by way of personal communications and contact with those interested. Due to the comprehensive nature of the program it is offered on a one-to-one basis. A maximum number of two students will be accepted per session.
The photography intensive will run concurrent with the other courses of drawing and painting, however due to its limited enrollment dates can be flexible and changed to accomodate the applicant’s needs.
