Back to the Villa

We want to offer alumni the opportunity to return to the Villa Rospigliosi and renew their acquaintance with Pistoia, the art art and spirit of Italy enshrined in the Center's ideology... To marvel is the beginning of knowledge and wen we cease to marvel we are in danger of ceasing to know and understand.  

Dinner will be ready for you each evening in the beautiful dining room, there will be several organized tours we will organize together, but mostly it will be a time for you to explore on our own, revisiting places you remember or perhaps the first time if you did not attend the Italy Session. It can also be an occasion for you to have time for an experience of your own making, if only to enjoy the ambiance of the villa and its garden.  There will be several evening lectures on art and informal discussions after dinner.

This residency is organized specifically for alumni but you are welcome to bring a partner. Occupancy will be two to a room, or single occupancy with a supplement. Continental breakfast and full dinner with local wine will be included. Two organized tours will be offered, one to Pistoia and one to Florence.

You might want to venture out to see the quarries of Carrera, drive to Siena, or see the medieval villages in the mountains above Pistoia. Prato, Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Pistoia are available to see on one day outings as you know, not to mention more distant important cities and towns such as Venice, Milano or Ravenna just to mention a few...Italy.  And then there is the food. 

Another possibility is to organize a residency reunion...the ideas are endless.
